Good luck Jack Ross

Looking back, it all went a bit tits up after January when we lost our top scorer. Gone backwards since but I really wanted him to succeed.

Best of luck for the future. He'll get another job somewhere, no bother.

Aye, best wishes for the future to a decent fella.

No doubt he’ll get a nice payoff & have no problem getting a new job elsewhere anyway.

He’s hardly unique to find himself in this scenario, especially at this club

Came across as a a dour miserable bellend and is the reason we are stuck in the third division at this moment in time. Fuck you Dross.

I sincerely believe the bloke gave his all and he comes across as a very decent bloke.

Really hope he goes on and has a successful managerial career.

I sort of think he will. But it didn't work out and this is the right move at exactly the right time imo.

Practically the only thing this club has been good at over the last ten years is getting the timing of sacking right. Short was a master at it and in truth it kept us in that league longer than we probably deserved. This feels right too.

agree

tried his best. something doesn't add up with his time since last Xmas.

The whole jock this and jock that stuff was piss poor from some of our supporters. He had to go and his comments in recent weeks made me think he may even have wanted out but I hope he goes on and has a canny career.

He spoke well mostly, seemed bright and committed but ultimately just wasn’t good enough to play the hand he had been dealt. I think there are mitigating factors, particularly this season with the asset stripping of the squad, but he had to go.

Good man! Can’t understand why he’s failed here! Everything was set up for him to be a success. Shame really but needed to be done.
He sets his sides up not to get to get beat, rather then setting them up to win. That’s why it didn’t work out, in a nutshell.

That mentality was largely fine for the clubs he’s managed at previously and would be fine if he was managing us three seasons ago, when our objective was to not get relegated. It doesn’t work when the objective is to get promoted which requires winning games, though. I don’t dislike him. His “philosophy” just didn’t fit with the goals of the club.
