Our lass (no) got me a rotary watch for my birthday and i dropped in after a month.

Any reliable watch repair shops yous would recommend before i have to send it back to Rotary themselves?

NOTE: i took it in the one in the galleries and he said the issue is the pin snapped inside so would need pulling completely apart to repair and he wouldnt do that. (face etc is all fine and no cracks in the glass.)

Ritchie Marshall's St Thomas Street Sunderland city centre excellent service.

cheers lads, will give them a try. worry at the time was the one in the galleries was highly rated and he said he wouldnt fix it so hoping one of these guys can do the trick.

Middleton Jewellery Repairs on Frederick Street. Decent and good value.

I always go here as they are cheap but do decent work, I’ve just had a watch repaired and serviced of them and it’s running better than when I bought it new.

He just replied to me last night saying unfortunately their watch repairer passed away recently so only do small repairs such as batteries and straps.

Jeweller in the indoor market in Durham are very good , they specialise in watches as well , could be worth a visit !

What a refreshing change, no one has come on and said scrap it and buy a decent rolex (or some other over priced gents bangle substitute) 👍

Iirc there was a little smoggy fella who could fix watches, but he's deed noo. A bit traumatic tho' cos he used a git bit hammer. I liked it, not a lot!

Used the shop opposite Debenhams. Probably expensive but watch was important to me. Batteries had leaked so needed a lot of work.

That’s a shame, it’s getting harder to fit nd a decent watch repairer these days. Looks like I’ll start using Collinsons again.
