He’s an experienced professional footballer. It’s funny when fans say (write) about what footballers need to learn about football. He's greedy enough by nature but would have a lot to learn about the art of movement central

I see you're struggling with the concept of fans forums .He’s an experienced professional footballer. It’s funny when fans say (write) about what footballers need to learn about football.
He got forward enough to make a difference in fairness.Played in defence most of the time.
3 or 4 posts away from being a club legend
Always thought thatJust watching the re-run of the 21 Pizza Cup final and Gooch has just scored. Got me thinking about why we’ve never used Gooch as a number 9. I think he could do a job playing off Stewart - works hard, good runs off the ball and a good finisher. Would also stop him operating on the wing and having to take players on only to cut back. Worth a try in pre-season if we haven’t managed to get another striker in?

No luck involved, he played very well under Alex Neil, and the manager obviously rates him, or he would not have got a new contractHe was lucky to be offered a new contract.
Now he’s the answer to our shortcomings up front
That might be true , there are specialisms within all fields . Striker is not Gooch's specialism so it would be reasonable to presume there will be a learning process. No, I get that people have opinions and it's all up for discussion.
But the "lots to learn" lines when fans are discussing professional footballers are quite funny.
It's like reading on here "Aye, that heart surgeon is canny at fitting stents but he still has a bit to learn about coronary artery bypass grafting."
