Gone off again in... France

Russian fans instigate indiscriminate violence in which they:
-routinely beat up innocent bystanders
-hospitalise multiple English
- are caught on video smashing furniture off the heads of people trying to flee
- seen acting in groups of up to 10 against one other bloke, before repeatedly stamping on his head when he's on the ground (seen 4 different examples of this happening)
- carry weapons, gum shields, MMA equipment and balaclavas, and storm across segregation into the English section inside the stadium.
-throw a English fan into the harbour after kicking him repeatedly on the floor

Responses to Russian violence:
-UEFA threaten further trouble will see Russian expulsion.
-Zero arrests
-zero Russians jailed
- Russian FA spokesman states '90% of fans go to fight anyway, they are standing up for their country'

-English fans retaliate with bottle throwing after being attacked by a group of 70 Marseille youths on the first night
-some English fans attempt to defend themselves and fight back against repeated waves of Russian attacks.

Responses to English 'violence':

-UEFA threaten further trouble will see England expelled from the tournament
-multiple arrests
-6 English fans jailed (just seen one of the lads fathers on the news, f***ing heartbreaking and disgraceful the way our lads have been set up as the fall guys)
-pretty much every journalist, politician and celebrity has condemned publicly our 'disgraceful and embarrassing behaviour'

This is the most sickening example of double standards I've ever seen. Not a murmur from UEFA regarding locals attacking NI fans, or regarding German hooligans attacking Ukraine fans (clear footage available online of both)

Some Russian fans have even filmed themselves attacking the English using a GoPro for fuck sake.

Is there any danger of our FA growing a spine and sticking up for our fans??
Spot on

England should organise a 'friendly' with Russia, play it at the New Den and restrict England tickets to Millwall fans (even the banned ones). Let's see how game the Ruskies are then ;)

They are game as f#ck to be fair. They are on another level to anything we have ever got up to although Im not sure that is something to be proud of. Turning out to a football game in Thai boxing shorts, a gum shield MMA gloves and a knife is the definition of embarrassing. Attacking women and kids is embarrassing, stabbing people and 10 blokes jumping onto an unconscious bloke is embarrassing, throwing bottles at peaceful groups of fans sat in cafes from point blank range is embarrassing.......They could kill 30 English fans and they would still be nowt but low life tossers and second rate hooligans to boot. While I do not agree with it, there has imho always been an unwritten set of rules when it comes to fans scrapping. These animals are literally out to kill people.

We are in the right. The russians defending their scum are in the wrong.

Well Andy Burnham was busy blaming English fans at the first opportunity. You would have thought he of all people would know better than to jump to instant conclusions about press/police reports.

That was after what happened on Thursday ad Friday night, when the Russians got involved her released another statement saying that wasn't anything to do with England fans.

Anyone remember this picture from Saturday night?

http://www.sudinfo.be/1597195/artic...lodrome-les-russes-etaient-beaucoup-trop-nomb

Turns out it was a Belgian who got a ticket for the match and decided to wear an England top.

They threw a lot of punches and I had to throw a couple back to defend myself. Not sure if I hit anyone or not. There was so many of them, I didn't have a chance.

Wonder if the authorities will be charging him? How is this different to the fans who defended themselves in the afternoon?

Nothing on the FA website regarding the Russians charging England fans in the ground....However England fans get condemned for their behaviour Marseille... The funny (or not) thing was the FA advice before the game on Saturday was to head to the old port and get escorted by the police upto the ground...however they forgot to add you will get bottles thrown at you by French Algerians, hit with Bats off Russian ultras and tear gas by those very same police who were going to protect you...

People need to take a long hard look at these people running the game....They make millions upon millions of pounds off the backs of those they are condemning..Disgusting...

I am not sure how you can blame the FA, do you think they rightly can expect, in a Western European Country, that the police stand by their duty of care to protect the travelling fans as other FA's would our police? Why is the incompetence of the French police the fault of the FA? You seem more bothered about having a pop at the FA and the BBC than the real culprits in this.
