When i first started playing my aim was to break 100. Once i started to break it on a regular basis my next aim was to break 90. I used to look at it like this. 90 = 5 shots per hole. At Seaham we have 5 par 3s so if i parred any of them i would have shots to play with on other holes.”That was my nemesis as well.
I found that when playing in strokeplay competitions you have to think about every single shot, which helped get rid of 5-6 daft shots I’d usually make each round.
Managed to card a few rounds last year between 87-89 doing that.
