Going to the match by yourself.

Son can't make it & a couple of mates are working.. 1st time I will be going on my Todd. Feels a bit strange.

Anyone else ever been by themselves or am I being an insecure bell end? 😃
I feel exactly the same way as you. I can’t recall ever going on my own.

It means you can leave early though.

Go to most matches on my own. Occasionally my sister comes with me and I've taken my mates daughter twice but 90% of the time I'm on my own. Never been an issue at home as I've had my ST in the same seat for years and I chat to all the lads around me
Away matches are different as it's a lot of solitude but that's what I prefer. I've been to gigs and went traveling around the world on my own, a coach to Oxford or Plymouth and back to watch a football match is a piece of piss

I got a season ticket years ago by myself as there was no seat near my mate and his dad.
The lad sitting next to me was an old class mate at school and another in a couple of years above.

It was a part season ticket and for a couple of games I was put in the Premier concourse, two lads sitting next to me were from the same village, one a very good mate.

I've been on my own twice in this past four weeks with my son off taking in games in Italy. Fortunately, we have made a lot of acquaintances were we sit in the North Stand are like a little bunch of mate. I didn't know any of those around us before we sat in the North stand but all are up for a chat and get together before kick off.. Nah, enjoy it mate while you can.

I’ve seen loads of people say on their own at the SOL over the years. Especially through the bad times. Don’t worry about it and get yourself there!
