Yes, I did 7 miles walk this morning, going to the gym in a bit to run 5,just want to mix it up a little as I put a few Kg of weight on over ChristmasAbsolutely, it’s just a better experience for me, get to actually take stuff in. I have a pair of spiked sole attachments for my boots, helpfully they were in one of my other rucksacks, so I was nearly arse over tit multiple times today, much to my son's amusement. In reality, unless it is very icy, they are a pain in the arse to keep taking off, so other than in Austria, I've hardly ever used themSame at the dales regarding the ice, fell over once and we all nearly went about 400 times.
My knees are fucked from running so it's only walking for me. I miss running, ocassionally, but would rather be on the hills any day.
