Going for a walk

Parked in Great Ayton this morning, walked up past the cricket club to Captain Cook’s monument, down to the car park over the road and up to the Teeside Matterhorn, back down through a farm , past the railway station and back into Great Ayton.

What a glorious day for it as well.

Never seen so many folk out enjoying themselves.

Lockdown ? , what lockdown.

The general public have had enough.

Walked along the river, beautiful day, flowers blooming, saw loads of carp, chatted to a bloke who caught a 30 pounder a few weeks back.

Taking a break from the walking for a few days as my plantar fasciitis is playing up. I don't have it as bad as some people but mine flares up once in a while

I fancy doing a bit more if the Thames Path. Problem is, I'd have to get a bus to starting point of Windsor/Slough/ or Staines. I'm guessing that's not allowed?
Walk would be about 8 or 10 miles.

Unsure of the hassle or rules at the moment.

Nice walks around all three places 👍
Yeah, have done it from Greenwich to Staines and bits and pieces round Henley, Abingdon and in Gloucestershire.
Just not sure if I'd get any hassle walking from Staines to Windsor, and if I am allowed. Also, if I'm allowed to jump on buses to start/end.

Up at dawn and sat in the garden with a cappuccino and the pug. Birdsong.

Watched the sunrise over the Lancashire fells- stunning. Went for papers - people stood with their faces up to the long forgotten warmth of the sun.

Been for a 6 mile walk around the local lakes and now sat in garden in shirtsleeves. Same pug - another cappuccino.

Freedom is calling .
