Aye, good luck with that.

i have it somewhere too and remember reading about 15 years ago it was worth a fortune....but iirc it is some rare test pressing or something that is worth a fortune, not the one everyone has...i could be wrong like as my memory aint the best

IIRC it was something like that. EMI originally planned to release it, but after all the hoo-har, EMI sacked the Pistols & never released GSTQ. Then Virgin picked them up & released it, with the former being the one thats vauable.

yeah mate, definitely something like that, i'm about 95% sure that the one you see all the time with the blue cover is pretty much worthless.

from wiki...

Before the group signed to Virgin, a small number of copies of "God Save the Queen" had been pressed on the A&M label. These are now among the most valuable records ever pressed in the UK, with a resale value as of 2006 of between £500 to £13,000 a copy, depending on condition of the disc.[6] The B-side of the A&M single was "No Feeling" (without an s), an early rough mix or performance of "No Feelings." (A later version was released on the Pistols' debut album.)

Just ordered never mind the Bollocks from Play. Hoping it arrives this morning to stick in the CD changer in the motor.

Dinnit say that man. I hoyed all my old vinyl out when I moved last year, including Pretty Vacant, Holidays in the Sun and God Save the Queen

its definetly the a&m copy thats worth the money, the blue one with the blue picture cover and the queen in white. shortly after its release a&m sacked the pistols and all the copies were pulled from sale, with a limited few slipping through the net.
not the emi or virgin copies.

When A & M went bust a few years ago, they gave senior executives a copy from the vault as part of their redundancy package.

That story of it being worth £8000 is lifted straight from this month's Record Collector, the article states that records are set to soar in value.

Big mistake that marra, old vinyl is worth a canny bit now,i've got Anarchy in the UK on the EMI label and it's worth a bit,be careful with God Save the Queen on A+M,there's loads of re-pressings knocking about, they get on e-bay,go on a site called Popsike where you can value your old stuff.
