The Reid era..walking out of the SOL having beat Chelsea or Man City and thinking nowt of it.
Was just thinking today the last time I remember going to a game hoping you might get a win. For me it was under Reid, a short time under Bruce and an even shorter time under MON. Bugger a hell this footy team of ours

Bedrock was the place man.
Aye but that was earlier in the night

I posted it as a bit of sarcasm. In saying that though, we've been chanting it for several seasons now, and it's done the trick so far.

Fair enough with the sarcasm but for me it has made a thick American owner think we are happy with this shite. Yes, I'm paranoid

Always remember going to Mr Jackets for baked tattie with chilli on it about 5 in the morning.

I remember getting chips with cheese coleslaw and curry (really :D) from the place opposite Castle at about the same time. Before River reggae. I can barely stop awake until 11.00'now, in those days I returned to the apartment with the sun.
:)

Was that the bloke just up from Carwash with his little stall? He put Bolognese on whether you liked it or not. Also, tried to get us to go with him and his mates to 'fight the Turks' on the broder, the next day, a young Greek Cypriot was killed (shot then heed stoved in with a rock - all over the telly the next day) and it nearly led to renewed hostilities between Greece and Turkey (who apparently had their warships on standby). The barmy bastard.

Miners camp marra. Ask me Dar about the footie match, Ray Clemance (the actual one) in goal.
When I was there it was Bobby Lennox I think doing a footy camp. I was just a bairn but he was a big thing in Celtic and there was loads of jocks invaded.

I'm sure it was a shop. The blokes face was all over posters around the place, he was a bit of a local hero.

When did you go mate? He may have upgraded from '98. He was a celebrity like, probbaly due to the fact there was live news coverage of him and his mates going up to the Turkish army on their Harley Davidsons and trying to fight them.

I'm sure it was 99 when I was there. He had pictures on his wall of his brother in law on his wedding day. The pictures were done in a series of shots and started off showing him crossing the boarder, then climbing the flag pole and taking the Turkish flag down, then getting a kicking off the Turks.

Mags away 2-0 in the play offs. My first ever away game and 26 years later still not been to a better one.
Favourite home memory (apart from Armstrong v Chelsea) is Gary Bennett v Man Utd in 1990, remember going absolutely mental. I still miss Roker Park after all these years.

Me too.

 its got to be the same bloke. It was actually '96, not' 98 when I was there so looks like he's expanded his empire

Closest I've come to crying that game
There's not a better feeling I've had since watching that goal go in

i did shed a tear mate, not scared to admit it either. my mam was in hospital at the time and wouldn't last much longer ultimately. that goal and the celebrations brought emotions to a head.
sometimes that 90 minutes of footy is a welcome escape.
