Glazers seeking to sell Man Utd

Incoming bid from Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s Ineos group for the Mancs - no doubt silly money will be bouncing about the club in the future - give it a couple of years and the European Super League will rear its ugly head again no doubt

Both Utd and Liverpool will be state owned. I suspect Abu Dhabi will stick with City, but the rest will be desperate to land one of the biggest clubs on the planet.

People forget that Man U (and Liverpool) were winning League titles in the early 1900s, they are not products of the success of the PL, even if they have owners who’ve latched on to that. I would say in Liverpool’s case the PL has been a disappointment. One title in the PLs 31 years.

Shares fall 10% as a report suggest club is worth 1.3 billion and not 5 billion owners want
Lex-in-depth: how much is Manchester United really worth? (FT)

As to the value it depends whose buying doesn't it? Manchester United will be seen as a trophy asset and out of the two main bidders I would assume Jim Ratcliffe will be treating it as a business whilst the al-Thani family will be more along the lines of a trophy asset with Qatari branding in the form of sponsorship.
