hop on the subway and complete the subcrawl. Getting off at Ibrox (of course) for a bit of culture before hopping back on to complete the "tour".

City centre wise - Necropolis and the cathedral, Merchant City, George Square, Equestrian statue (Cone heed), GOMA, Buchanan Street, The Lighthouse,

Along the Clyde you have the Hydro and the SEC, the tall ship and Transport museum.

West End has Kelvingrove Museum, Hunterian Museum and the Uni which is worth a walk around, Byers Road and Ashton Lane.

There's loads of little bits to do, narrow it down a bit.
Spot on marra. Glasgow is a fabulous city, transformed thanks to City of Culture and Commonwealth Games investment. The bars and restaurants in Finneston are a class night out. Likewise Merchant City or the bars along Bath street.

A few of my personal favourites:

"The 78"
in Finneston is a vegan cafe bar that does lovely food (even our carnivore son loved it) and there's plenty of real ales and craft beers on offer to whet your whistle:

Round the corner The Ben Nevis Bar has loads of craft ales on and one of the best selections of malt whiskeys you'll ever see.

The Shilling Brewing Company is a cracking brew pub in West George Street. A converted former bank with an on site micro brewery and also serves lush pizzas. Oh, and it probably has the funkiest bogs in Glasgae!

The Howlin' Wolf in Bath Street. I love this place! Craft beer heaven (including Beavertown beers so a big thumbs up from me) with a great vibe, live blues and canny bait:

If you like your football history, a little visit to the remains of Third Lanark's Cathkin Park ground, just down the road from Hampden, is worth a look. I loved the transport museum. The locals I found were spot on so long as you don't mind a bit of rough and ready language from time to time. Had a cracking time on the Renfrew Ferry if you want to venture a little way out of the city, too.

Fancy long Weekend away.Thought Glasgow would be Canny.Never been.

Any recommendations for accommodation and things to do, single adventurer.

Ta.

I know it's a spoons, but The Counting House is one of the most amazing buildings-cum-pub I think I've ever been in. It still has the vaults!
Have a wander and make sure you go on the comedy mini-underground. It's practically a theme park ride it's so diddy

West Brewery on Glasgow Green is a nice place for a swally. Canny walk along the river too. Necropolis offers decent views n all if you're that side of the city.

Nice enough train ride up to Loch Lomond if you want to get out the city too.

Proper underrated place IMO is Glesga.

Indeed, that's what I heard. Thanks for all the information.Should be enough to be getting on with.

Depends what you fancy doing and if you're away with the missus, family or mates etc. Give me a PM and I'll help if I can.
Thanks mate.I reckon I have enough to be going on with at the mo.Going for a long w/e initially.I'll probably go again next year, see how it goes.

Edinburgh much better city imho.
Glaswegians weren't the friendliest I found. Rude Bar Staff, suspicious locals and
The woman serving in the chippy actually said to me: "what the fuck ya wantin!"
That attitude could be found anywhere in uk in the larger towns and cities tbf.
