Giz your happy random memories of loving living life

Spending 9 months in a desolate place (Scotland) then copping off with a lass that looked like Denise van Outen.

Walking home in the snow in the early hours I came across a frozen lake and spent a while contemplating how wonderful life can be.

She didn't return my calls

When you felt everything was perfect.

I'll start...

Getting in Gens for the first time and running up the stairs to join in what everyone talked about.

My dad helping me make my first record box, outside his shed in a hot summer time.

Driving girlfriends around in my Escort RS 2000

Putting on my first pair of 14 holer Dr Martin Boots.

My second buck.

:)

Landing back in bonny ol` England after spending varnigh 8 months of hell in Iraq to my wife and kids waiting for me through the middle of the night when I got back and just squashing all of them in one massive cuddle, absolutely amazing, shame it all went sour when she fucked off cheating on me!

Oooof. Feeling it for ya mate.

Also my kids being born wasn’t too bad I suppose.

When I sit in my garden having a beer watching the northern lights. It’s happened like a hundred times and I will never ever get bored of it.
Makes me love life

Walking into the Kensington Oval in Barbados at 9:30am on 1 May 2015. I'd wanted to watch England play there for nearly 40 years. 30 degrees and a Chef ton during the course of the day.

Only two more on me cricket list. Galle which I'm doing in 7 weeks and Cape Town next year.
My parents were at that test!

The over the top greeting I get off the dog every time I arrive home.

One of mine does this daft dance :D

Two things that invariably make me happy -
1) the number of dogs in the NE all walking with wagging tails.
2) driving past the coast whatever the weather.

First thing i did after the 200 mile trip up to Shields the other week was get a pint of milk and a bacon and egg stottie and park up facing the sea at Marsden :)

First time I started and rode my gpz900r from north east motorcycle in Durham. Going up Houghton cut and looking down at the Speedo hitting 130 mph.... What a rush... Reading festival in 1991 that whole weekend was just Amazing from start to finish. How my Toyota starlet made it there and back is beyond me. Seeing Nirvana for the first time that year also. First time I went to stormin the castle and getting my picture in back street heroes next toy very very modified gpz900r the low point was it was stolen 3 weeks later Never to be seen again

After life getting a bit shit, that first night in my own place with possibly the worst, but still best tasting pizza.

The first time I went to a gig - Fender's Ballroom in Long Beach back in '84/'85.

The day after my wedding when I realized that I get to spend the rest of my life with an amazing woman.

But nothing, absolutely nothing tops the birth of my son. Holding him that first time and knowing that I loved him like I have never loved anything in life and that I would fight all the powers in the world to keep him safe, protected and happy. The world has never felt as right and perfect as that moment.

Geet big fanny ;) :)

My kids have been the best gift in life though and the grandson is the icing on the cake ;)

My wedding day

Driving the Garden Route with the first woman I loved

Receiving confirmation I got the degree classification I’d striven for (sitting in my bedroom with my parents desperately searching on the uni website)

Receiving confirmation of my first full time job (phone call received in a London hotel)

Receiving confirmation of my current job (text received in a Cape Town Chinese restaurant)

Spending time with my parents these, particularly these days, however simple that time is

Being in the pub for the Johnson 1-0. Was in the Red Lion in Angel with a load of our lot. Was amazing when we scored, particularly as I was really looking forward to Christmas and that was a perfect start

Loving life right now , staying in a remote cottage only sounds around are birds and the boys have just gone off for a hike. Going to snooze for a bit and knock up a rare full English when they return
