Walton explained: "When you look at the amount which is actually lost in the accounts, most of that is a result of amortisation of players.

By that we are running at a loss BEFORE player amortisation. this isn't a problem if we either sell players for more than we buy them (I think this is Bruce's job and he is good at it) or Short covers the difference.

In the long term the wages to sales ratio needs to come down.

It's a decent spin but not the wonderful endorsement of SAFC that people seem to think. IMHO.

However the crucial bit is the actual value of the squad vs its' amortised value - capital growth can easily outweigh losses (ask any farmer;))

Also "are running at a loss" should read "were running at a loss" as they were last years' accounts

Which i pointed out. The last acoounts showed a loss BEFORE player amortisation. So the only way we can fund new palyers is through Short or the players we buy being sold for more.

I'm not too bothered because I think Short will back us BUT we don't generate any surplus for player acquisition and in the long term that will hold us back.

Coming from the person who:

Said 2 posts earlier (without me having said a word on this thread): "A deaf and blind technophobe asleep in a cave on the dark side of the moon is more in touch with SAFC than that fella (HBT)"

Has failed on 6 requests to produce Quinn quotes to "justify their own argument" that Quinn has "dragged the name of all Sunderland supporters everywhere through the mud".

So I hereby declare that you are, by your own rules, an "individual of genuine stupidity".

Four different personal bites from you when I am not even here! "Playing you like a fiddle".

You stopped responding to my posts a hell of a long time ago and have just been responding to the poster instead ever since, as proven above. You have taken my own argument, presumed to know it better than I do, and completely mis-applied it to something entirely seperate from the point at hand. But if the above is your opinion of me, which I am sure it is, then you are welcome to it. I have about as much respect for your opinion as you have for mine. Well, actually less, I'd say, since the vast majority of the time it is you who instigates interactions with me where as unless you are adressing me specifically, I genuinely couldn't care less what you have to say. In fact I barely notice you at all.

Toodles.

Sorry, I don't waste time on individuals of genuine stupidity, especially those that couldn't say "boo" in less than two hundred words.

Good good. If meekly accepting that you think I am stupid means you stop wasting my time with purile nonsense, then I couldn't be happier with the situation.

For the love of god, man... just have the courage of your convictions and stop wasting your time on me.

Post the Quinn quotes and we'll call it a deal. Or just admit that Quinn didn't "drag the name of Sunderland supporters everywhere through the mud".

Why do I need to make a deal with you to get you to do what you claim you are already going to do? Just stop wasting your time on me please, there's a good lad.

I just like watching you squirm, because you have no quotes but still aren't man enough to accept that Quinn didn't do what you said he did. Exposing you (once again) as an utter hypocrite was fun too. Cue 500 words.

You proceed under the false presumption that the only way to achieve something, either intentionally or unintentionally, is to directly say it. But who cares? Run along skippy, you are wasting your time, remember? Cue another bite.

Words: 37

Ok, then. Say I want to "drag the name of" Barnsley "supporters everywhere through the mud". How do I do it without uttering a word?
