Giro d’italia

They showed about two seconds of the aftermath on the highlights. Didn’t look good at all.
2 ridiculous incidents at either end of the stage yesterday. Why is someone ditching a bidon in the neutral zone anyway? Everyone packed in it's just asking for trouble. As for a helicopter apparently blowing barriers onto the course that's very poor organisation

Some ride that from Ganna.

Be interesting to see if he can continue to climb well throughout this, Ineos could have another future GC contender. Brailsford loves a TT specialist who can climb a bit.

Ridiculous ride. The whole Ineos team look strong to me. Such a shame about Thomas.
He’s 6ft 4 mind but a big old unit, like many of the “big” cyclists it’s all relative of course

Wiggo’s 6’4” isn’t he? What did he weigh when he won the tour? 75kg?

The Giro always seems a bit amateur compared to the Tour. Think it’s really been highlighted this year. The roads were so bad in Sicily bidons were just being shaken out of the cages in some places.

a lot of talk about 6 hour fasted rides to cut the weight...equally others would say he shed weight by other means.

The Sky early season training camps were known as ‘the hunger games’ by the riders I believe.
No Jiffy bags required.

He used to do a lot of his pre tour fasted rides from his home in Mallorca.
Six hour fasted rides in and around the Tramuntana mountains

A common shorter pre breakfast "off day" was said to be a blast from Pollenca up Femenia to Sa Calobra and back before Formentor and back home...sometimes on his TT bike

Watching stage 5 at the moment. What a f***ing ride by Ganna here. Bloke is a monster.

Also, with regard to the day before, I have seen motorbikes and team cars knock riders off their bikes, but I think that's the first time I have heard about them being knocked over by a helicopter
