Gelhardt

He's simply not good enough or " not ready ". I remember a guy called Barrie Wardrobe playing non league after he left Sunderland, and he was a star in that arena but could not make it in League football despite twenty appearances for the first team. Another player from our academy who never made it despite being a star at Junior level, his name escapes me but earned threads titled. "Hell on " if he didn't play.

If Gelhardt had come through our academy people would say he is ," not ready " for first team football, but because he came from Premier League Leeds people expect he must be something special.

He just isn't and is non league standard at best.

These mythical 7 injuries aren’t all starters though are they? There’s only really evans and Stewart missing that would be instant starters in the team

Both Cirkin and Alese have had 2 significant periods out.

Evans will miss 1/3 of the season.

Ballard will miss the best part of 2/3s of the season.

Gooch missed quite a few games.

Stewart had 2 significant periods out.

I didn’t say that Embleton or Bennette were starters, but they are part of the squad and have contributed generally when available. You can’t argue that a large proportion of our squad have been unavailable for significant periods.

Very dramatic. Ballards only been out a week orso, and may be back for Watford in a fortnight. Cirkins fit. Alese wouldn’t start with cirkin available anyway. Gooch wouldn’t start if Ballard and Cirkin was available anyway. Bennette very rarely even got off the bench and Embleton was a load of shite that also wouldn’t play

Fact is we haven’t had anymore injuries than anyone else. Just useless squad composition has meant we’ve felt two particular injuries very strongly

I think his confidence is shot to hell. Personally reckon he’d be a really good attacking midfielder. Plays more to his strengths. He’s pretty quick, closes down well, good passer. Don’t think he has a natural striker’s instinct like Stewart.
👀
He is a good player, but he just does not have the explosive pace over a couple of yards to play the role he is being expected of here.
It is quite obvious when he has had chances but was unable to get on the end or get there before a defender.
His general game and work rate is very good.
Give him a break.

Starters: Stewart, Evans, Ballard

Non-starters: Embo, Alese, Bennette

Who is the 7th ? Surely no one is counting Rigg?
Alese has become the starter, mate.

Because you are knit picking because he made one mistake and why not mention the decent bit of play that should have lead to a goal.
I'm not nit picking at all.

It was a stupid mistake and it led to his mate getting sent off.

Let's hope he doesn't do it again.
