Gareth Bale

Simon Jordan said today he will not be going to Spurs. They will not pay him 300k a week. It would knack their pay structure.
He reckons Man United .
He’s on 600k a week at Madrid who will pay 50% wages.

I came to that conclusion a long time ago.

Two season loan at 300k wages = about £30m, £15m a year. Sees out Bales contract - Madrid get rid, save some money. Not a great deal for them, but we know what it's like when you have high, unsellable earners - sometimes you have to eat shit and pay them to leave, just to save money on the "run their contract down" situation and have them stinking out the dressing room.

Deal to be done there - Spurs can surely find an accounting trick that allows them to present that kind of outlay as compliant with their wage structure. United aren't really interested, just like their not really interested in Grealish. They're trying all the usual tricks to convince Dortmund they've got other targets, but its not working because its too blatant. Woodward needs to cough up, useless prick.

Well he has. Seen what he done for them in the champions league? No way on earth he isnt good enough to be playing for them
Not saying he hasn't been treated poorly but his attitude has been shocking too.

The fall out with Zidane stems from when Zidane first took over. Bale was injured and had missed a lot the season. Zidane came in when they were trailing, changed the formation to go with Ronaldo and Benzema up front with Isco behind and they came back to win the league. Then he left him out of the Champions League final in Cardiff to keep faith with the players who'd won the league and Bale spat his dummy out.

Over the last few years he's missed big chunks through injury but always kept himself fit for Wales and I think they see him as their Rodwell - he's on massive wages but picks and chooses when he wants to play. He's been there 7 years but never tried to integrate himself with his team mates. He says it's because he'd rather go to bed early when the team stay out late but he spends all of his spare time playing golf instead and cut himself off from the rest of the team.

Zidane told him he could leave as he didn't fit the system but rather than either knuckling down to prove him wrong or cutting his losses and going he refused to go but seemed less and less interested. When Zidane came back they told him he could leave on a free and he looked to be on his way to China until they realised they could probably get a fee for him and pulled out, which is where he had been treated badly. But I think he's been an absolute dick since then with the Wales, Golf, Madrid flag, pretending to fall asleep on the bench, going through the motions and making little effort and the comments that he'd just sit in the stands seeing out his contract unless anyone matched his £600k wages. He's entitled to do that, but at least pretend you're still bothered about playing.
