Gaming Computer Specifications?

Thinking about delidding and overclocking my i7-7700k some point soon like. Also thinking about selling my reference model 1080ti and getting an aftermarket 1080ti. Reference model runs a bit warm for my liking as it's got the blower style fan. Idle temps on it are 54c.

CPU idle temps are 38c, which isn't bad for the 7700k.
1080tis are daft money now they have stopped production. Better off looking at a 2080

2080 performance is about the same and a bit better in 4k. About the same price too. This is obviously with rtx turned off.

I don't game in 4K like. I've got a 27" 1440p 144hz monitor which the 1080ti performs great with, so I'll probably just hold onto what I've got until I can shift it for reasonable money and replace it. I think the 2080 ti is ridiculously overpriced for what it is, and the 2080 is pointless as it costs more than the 1080ti and performs pretty much the same. Don't get me started on the 2070.
