Do they have any sort of official complaints organisation..............?

i dont see the need for them personally shirly everyone knows where to stand and where to after for the piss up by now?

have you got a complaint to make mate, want to share your story? is this to do with the bil mate? the suicide?

Indeed it is................having spoken to them to ensure they release the ashes so that his son can scatter them as he wanted to do I now find they hasve released them to someone else telling me they couldnt speak to me yesterday as they didnt have my number ( despite calling me on the same number at 9am yesterday morning when I sorted out what needed to be done.

Aside from that a lot of the posessions have been taken from the house and stored at another relations and I have told him that if the son ( who is the beneficiary of the will ) wants these they are coming back out of the loft they are in.

What I dont know is who legally ashes actually belong to...........it appears that its the legal duty of the executors to arrange for disposal of the body/ashes but thats as much as I can find out this morning..

The management company of the rented propery we need to give back this week have also not placed the bond in a third party scheme which they are supposed to have done...........

the property managers are probably just hanging on to the money as long as possible - cunts them lot imo

I know where they are mate its just the fact the lad wanted to scatter them..............if hes agreeable to take some and scatter them and then return some ( and if the current recipient sees sense) then it should be okay but if we cant get them back then it may get messy...

Legally I dont know who has first claim on them or if the son is the next of kin....hes nearly 17 and the beneficary of the will...........

It is mate and seeing him tonight to see what he wants and then take it from there...........

OK heres the deal...

Wills aren't legally binding so it doesn't matter what they've written (sad but true).

When you register a death (and there are rules to say who can and cant register a death), you get a green form which you need to give to the funeral director to book a funeral.

Once you've booked a funeral with the "green form" the ashes are yours, regardless if any spouse or relation has any objections. You cant restrict viewing of the deceased and do what you want with the ashes.

So if a son registers a death and books the funeral, he could stop his mother viewing his fathers body etc etc.

Only the police or coroner can view a body against the wishes of the funeral client.

I take it that should say can mate................

The person concerned did arrange the funeral but they didnt pay a penny of the deposit and wont be paying a penny of the final bill.............

Surely the ashes should be the legal property of one of the next of kin ( which i dont know if the son is as his grandmother on that side is still alive) or the beneficiary of the will of which the kids are.............

Sorry, CAN restrict access ... appols.

The person who arranges the funeral owns the ashes regardless of who pays for it.

It's a horrible rule and causes more arguments than enough, but if you get in first with the form and book the funeral, you control everything to do with the funeral, the deceased and the ashes (Cremated Remains is the official term if your googling it).

Funeral Directors are constantly caught in family feuds between ex-wives, long lost brothers and siblings who live away.

So the rule is very simple, the person who booked it wins, regardless of the situation that surrounds the funeral.

So as I am paying for the remainder of it when the bill lands at the door of those who arranged it they have a problem if I tell them where to go as they dont have the cash..........

Its total madness that simply booking the funeral gives you these rights when legally you should have none at all............
