Fulwell Sainsbury's closing

Don’t see the point in a Tesco going there, the Heron next door + the OneStop stocks most essentials. Then there’s a larger Tesco and a Morrisons nearby

I do. I want to pop in to get some fruit and veg, like I did with Sainos, when I can't be arsed to go to as far as Morrisons. One stop and Herons doesn't cover.

Supermarket logic defies rational logic.

I don't know the individual store or location, but I do know Supermarket strategy. Tesco opens locations purely to stop competition. They will take a small loss on a small store rather than see a competitor do the same

The logic is they take a short term loss, but they work on the fact they'll drive the others out and make a long term gain.

And if Tesco doesn't do that, Sainsbury or Asda will do the same.

It's all about market share in that industry.
