Fully vaccinated account for only 1.2% of covid deaths in England

Its a fair point, when you talk about volumes, you can't just say "only 1% of deaths were from vaccinated people" without also stating the proportion on the population who were vaccinated.

Because if that number is also 1%, then the first stat means the vaccines didn't help at all.
You need ALL the stats before you post headlines.

And also, its quite hard to calculate the "real" answer here, as the % of population vaccinated was changing every single day. So you'd need to have the daily numbers, not just the summary.

And I say all of this whilst being 100% in the Pro-vaccine camp, before anyone tries to debunk basic maths .

A good way would be to look at cases/deaths for periods before and after mass vaccination. On October 23 2020 7 day average cases were 20 200. Ten days later 7 day deaths average was 265.
On July 1 this year 7 day cases were 20 469 and ten days later 7 day deaths were 29. So a reduction in ratio of about 90%. More recently the ratio reduction has been just over 70% but testing has reduced quite a bit so maybe actual cases are higher now.
