If they are going to stick with this in the other penalty area, any half decent player will be able to chip it onto someone's arm and get a penalty. Now, if they don't give penalties for it after this then the whole thing needs scrapping.

VAR is literally there to spot things the ref hasn't or wouldn't have spotted. That's its point. If the handball rule for attacking players wasn't so idiotic, VAR would review that and say "Ball to hand but accidental, nothing wrong with that, goal!". VAR has many, many issues and I'd happily do away with it but the source of the issue here is the current handball rule.

I get that but without VAR that goal stands 100 times out of 100 therefore the rule does not exist without VAR getting involved! The rule exists purely because VAR exists!

No it’s not

Before var that’s not a foul, by law

They changed the rule for var

It’s a simple point

Haha mate

Before var that’s not a foul

I dunno how you can’t grasp that

They changed the rule for var

It’s got nothing to do with the ref seeing it

If the ref saw it al the way before var it’s not a penalty

It’s simple that’s a fact
It’s a fact

You could say that before football was invented there were no incorrect penalties given, so inventing football has caused these incorrect decisions to occur. So we need to get rid of football so they don’t occur anymore. That’s a fact.

Of course I’m having fun there, but if they look at var and say that’s not handball then everything is fine. They just have to get the decisions correct, which applies to all aspects of life.

If Fulham keep playing this well points will surely come in future games.
Trouble is they are running out of them
Don’t score enough
Fast forward and Norwich will be the same next season.
Spurs here for the taking in this game and Fulham have fluffed their lines again

They literally changed the rule for var

What they’re saying is factually incorrect

We’ve been saying this for a while now though, some good performances just can’t seem to pick up the points
Yes i agree, i do think points will come. One thing for sure is they're a much better team than Newcastle.

the law is different so a penalty wouldn't have been given in that instance. It's utterly ridiculous tbh.

No mate you’re wrong

That wasn’t a foul before var; by the law

Doesn’t matter if the ref saw it as clear as day

It wasn’t a foul

I don’t think you’ve grasped the point that the law changed because of var

None of what you said there has any relevance what so ever

Changed for consistency wasn't it? Removes any doubt about intent or ball to hand etc, if it hits the hand and possesion gained or a goal is scored from it then it's an infringement.

Sounds simple enough but they still make a pig's ear of it

The rules shouldn't be changed because of VAR, I'd agree. However, that's not a fault of VAR as much as how it's being misused.
