FTECB accused of institutionalised racism

A couple of test umpires recount their experiences.

It seems at best circumstancial evidence, but if you have the word of an umpire against the word of a board official, I would trust the umpire more. Unless it was Darryl Harper.

Independent investigation time methinks.

I think may of the old institutions will end up being accused as such. Its just the way it is where they have long standing not so flexible set ups.

The old boys club still exists in many walks of life

The selection of umpires has long been a job for the boys and a one for life with no meaningful monitoring. Can't remember an umpire ever being removed from the list for incompetence.
Be interesting if Devon Malcolm is approached regarding the issue in which he's named.

There was an article by Monte Lynch in the Cricketer a couple of months back, in which he stated he would not answer the Racism question as he is bringing out a book next summer, detailing incidents he suffered and there will be a few surprises who he will out over this.

@NorthCountryBoy will confirm

Bit selfish, it's not like this is an issue that doesn't need immediate attention
