Fratton Park is shit, and so are Portsmouth. You might beat us, but hardly bricking it. By all accounts you've been fairly shit at home as well, so yours are as likely to bottle it as anyone
This could be true. There's no doubt that Pompey fans make a great din and I think this picked their team up at Wembley. But the pressure could end up being as great for them.

I agree. I would of hooked the striker off at half time but a problem we currently have is our bench isn’t strong. My one criticism of Kenny Jackett is that he hasn’t utilised the squad enough to allow people to have breaks. Jamal Lowe has been electric this season and to a point even devastating but he is knackered and it shows, which is annoying because at one point we had Andre green and David wheeler on loan and they couldn’t get near the team because of the form or Lowe and Curtis. In the end they all got recalled and thus Lowe and Curtis end up playing every week.
I think Sunderland and Pompey have suffered similarly from a flat ending to the season - we were fortunate to have a returning player in Maguire who could make the difference. Maguire can be terrible but he's the sort of player who relishes situations like play offs and is a big reason why I think we'll get to Wembley.

Maguire and Geadz back will be a nightmare for your lads. Hopefully no more cheating from your boys and we can see a great attacking game. Mind you be nice for your lot if Lowe turns up against us some time. Says a lot when our worst left back keeps him in his back pocket.

Good luck marra.
Thompson's shorts were visibly cleaner last night as a result of his not having to fall over every time McGeady approached him.

We know all about maguire he played for a us also a few seasons back

Yeah I think last night was our best hope. We have the best away form in terms of points and goals. And last night we had a chance to lay siege after the red card. And we just looked ..... tired
But I was surprised by the form guide, as shown earlier by Sky. Pompey were fourth, I think.

Did he? What was he like?
It’s hard to say really. I mean we were almost smack bang in the middle of our plummet to the bottom. But he was definitely a player who had quality and tenacity. One of those you would rather have on your side than against it. If we were a more settled side at the time I like to think he would of been the perfect player at that level ...?

I was expecting Portsmouth to push on massively never happened.i think mid week will be different and Portsmouth will come out quick to get the early goal

We are top of the away form. But overall form we were top also until we drew 1-1 at your place and then we just lost it altogether. I think the winning was carrying us through games so as soon as we drew it was curtains... excuse the pun
