The muslim lads I know say there is no need for it in their faith

I think they let him through because they don't check everyone exiting the country thoroughly, only entering. I suspect there is a consideration given to cultural or religious sensibilities.
As I've said, I believe everyone should be checked.
Why do you think they don't?

So they didn't check people leaving the country as much as people coming in, after they were looking for a wanted man, who you would have thought would be fleeing the country after setting off a bomb?
People are scared of upsetting foreign nationals and their religions. If you are looking for a muslim bomber, i would suggest it's not unfair to target muslim people coming in/out the country. If that means upsetting their faith or whatever, then sod them. Surely we were more alert to Irish people, when the IRA were setting off bombs?
Our countries border controls are a f***ing joke! hat's why the government don't know the full number of immigrants in this country, because thay can't even spot a wanted man showing nothing but his eyes, pretending to be his sister!
I wonder why no-one has thought of hoying the old bruqa on and holding up a few banks?
You could just walk into a muslim area and 'disappear'. You might have to practice your woman walk like.
not in the koran
And 2. If I can't wear a cap to the pub, why can they wear their burka? Regardless of religion.
