France bans the Burka

That old chestnut again. Classic spavin

He has contributed significantly to the thread tbf. If you'd read it you'd realise that. He's hardly going to sit and repeat the same stuff. Again. So the thread can go round in circles. Again. Its been done to death.

Taking them off the streets hardly constitutes war. We have all these laws over inciting hatred/violence but we're happy to let these extremists spout their bile in public.

I'd nick them straight away and if they were born elsewhere then they would be on the first boat back but thats not quite what you said

And we even give them police protection to do it ;)

Im aware he has but then hes reverted to smartarse shit. If thats what hes going to post he shouldnt bother

Most people do think the same way on these issues but most are terrified to get tarred with the racist brush which is what stops a true reading of the situation.

The sad fact is that all of these issues could have avoided if the Government had one iota of common sense.

The whole thing with immigration, multi-culturalism, religion etc. has all gone to shit because it's been allowed to get to a stage where when people do try and do something about it there's hell on. So you get extreme-right bigots getting ammunition to fire and that in turn gives Islamic extremists ammunition to fire and everyone else in the middle nit picks and argues.

i really cant see the problem with the burka it doesnt bother or offend me in the slightest,we live in a free society so let people wear what they want,
as long as there not forced to wear it,thats when it becomes a problem.

It's bollocks though, if you only hate extremists why do you want to ban head coverings. Not only terrorists like to cover themselves up. You're trying to claim if we "appease" people by allowing them to cover up it's going to snowball into the death of everyone. It's a f***ing joke of an argument.

As for the rise of the BNP and such parties, their popularity is f***ing minimal anyway, but of that that does exist, i'd put it more down to the times of economic depression. Historically as now, when there are times of a trouble in a nation people are always looking for someone to blame, a scapegoat if you will. This usually takes the place of an "other", someone who is perceived to be radically different to the mainstream population. The BNP are just the modern lazy equivalent of this age old concept, claiming Britain alone is the answer to all problems and foreigners are the cause.

There are 2 facts about the BNP;

- BNP membership is higher in areas where ethnic diversity is lower
- BNP membership is higher where income is lower

This leads to one FACT from me;

BNP voters are pissypanted idiots who want to blame their shit lives on the scary brown people that read about in the tabloids.

BNP votes hate muslims now, 'pakis' in the 90s, 'paddys' in the 80s, wogs in the 70s etc. etc. There's always a bogeyman, because bogeymen conveniently distract you from your own failings.

Who said I wanted to ban head coverings? I said I don't think there is a clear cut answer, I can see reasonings for both arguments. My point was where does it stop. As for the appeasement point I was making; I was A) deliberately stirring B) making the point that if we continue to let people do what they want under the guise of freedom of expression then the majority will inevitably get p1ssed off. You simply cannot deny there is an anti-muslim feeling pervading the country, nay western world. please explain why this is. it isn't just the media.

I think you'll find the BNP were becoming a bit more popular before the recession but you are correct in the point you are making.

Can't argue with that sadly.

100% correct.

It does have to said however when people lose their jobs to be replaced by foreigners you can forgive perhaps less intelligent people for turning to far-right groups out of sheer frustration. Fascism isn't the answer, but the problem is the moderate governments just don't do anything.

I'd nick them straight away and if they were born elsewhere then they would be on the first boat back but thats not quite what you said

So we're in agreement then. In my first response to you i said we should take these scumbags off the streets reffering to muslim extremists - hardly f***ing civil war is it.

You had a hissy fit over things unknown to me.

Well you shouldn't tell people to contribute or "fuck off" when the person in question has contributed more to the thread than you have. If that's all you're going to post then you shouldn't bother.

The current situation suits the incumbent governments. They can go about f***ing us all over financially while everyone squabbles amongst themselves over things like race and religion. Really, they are as good as non issues, but the right like to make the issues. Great for those in power, another distraction and scapegoat when in reality its their financial policy that has been kicking those on lower incomes for decades.

I never had a hissy fit but you seem to be on the verge.
You said you wanted them to get worse to give us more ammo against them. You said ban the burkha despite the fact it would obviously give rise to extremists.

dont think the bnp are fielding any candidates in gateshead on may 5th.they must be skint.

Close to going bankrupt apparently

labour=debt=-happy=close to bankruptcy

We aren't close to bankruptcy. Anyway, that's not the point. Its the deregulation, selling off state services etc that are the real problem. That and the fact we don't make anything any more. All the while the gap between rich and poor continues to grow. We have one political system in this country, regardless of who is in power. Extreme capitalism.
