Getting City Hall tickets tomorrowYep. Got tickets for the UEA gig.
There's also a last train which used to be 11.15, but seems now to be 11.01. The 56 bus runs through the night also. Can anyone advise about best way to get to Boiler Shop gigs from Sunderland? Will they end in time for the last Metro home on a weeknight (just after 11pm)? Alternatively where's good to park the car?
Cheers - the last Metro is 11.18, but doesn't go past Sunderland Central. Bus would be an emergency option only - takes an hourThere's also a last train which used to be 11.15, but seems now to be 11.01. The 56 bus runs through the night also.
my tickets have just been purchased, looking forward to it...Public service broadcasting just announced at the Fire Station and not Newcastle which is a big coup. That’ll be my first visit there I reckon.

To be fair, it's a continuation of the same tour in which they already played the City Hall!Public service broadcasting just announced at the Fire Station and not Newcastle which is a big coup. That’ll be my first visit there I reckon.
That was my thought, she was excellent. Although I'm not sure how they'd do some of the new stuff without her. They had the smoke fairies with them a few years ago so I guess they could find someone else.PSB at City Hall was a tremendous show and I'm really looking forward to seeing it again, hopefully with Eera supporting/in the band.
Theyre a great band. First time I actually saw them was when they played record shop day at the old Pop recs on Fawcett st years ago.To be fair, it's a continuation of the same tour in which they already played the City Hall!
Still a great booking and a clear indicator that The Fire Station is establishing itself as a real alternative for touring bands.

Gruff rhys was class in there. As were the CharlatansSeems a lifetime ago now! They had some great shows on there - Edwyn Collins and Bernard Butler's krautrock thing spring to mind......
Still Pop Recs have gone on to (arguably?) greater things, as have PSB - none of those 14" b & w portables for them nowadays!
I can't see that date listed anywhere online - just Glasgow (10th Oct), Manchester (12th Oct), London (14th Oct). Or do you mean October 2022?Roxy Music anyone - October 22

I'd definitely go and see them locally but I'm not sure about a big venue further afield and paying a fortune to do so.
