Former player says football is getting softer

Can't remember much of him as a player for us - was he any good?

he's right but him and his fellow managers don't help when they appeal for a red card everytime one of their players is fouled. How many times on a Saturday do your hear an opposing manager say that the other teams player was unlucky to be sent off??

I cannot believe people are saying he is wrong.

Tony Pulis is one of the greatest whinners in the game as far as complaining about how unfairly treated his team are. Neglecting totally the fact Stoke aren't the only team that has ever had decisions go againt them and they have no doubt got dubious decisions.

And as for the players. Need I say more? I don't know if the high profile high earners of the PL are as much of a Prima Dona as they say. I don't know if money has gone to their heads but certainly when I see them play they go over like they have been shot on the back whenever anyone goes near them and the swarm of players that surround a ref when a decicion goes against them is ridiculous. Nani last season in the home game is a good bad example.

If Nani was to go back in time and play a game in the 1950's for Man Utd and did what he does now, Matt Busby would have kittens he would be so incandecent with rage about how immature and unsportsmanlike Nani was being. He'd be out the door so fast his feet wouldn't touch the ground.

Sad but true, the modern day game is spoiled by wimpish cheating footballers that play for contact then go down easier than a whores knickers.

As an aside, why is it not a free-kick every time hands another player off?

He's completely right. The tackling that went on in the playground at lunchtime when I was at school was harder than what you get away with in the professional game. And nobody f***ing complained or whinged about it.

I don't know about that.
There would be some complaining from my mum if I scuffed my shoes. Far scarier that the FA (and no chance of appeal)

That's why you take a pair of sambas in every day. We played on grass so my mum just had to wash my trousers on a daily basis (or alternatively just leave me to go into school the next day looking like a scruff).

BUt seriously, I can remember lads hoying themselves in almost knee high, and the rest of us just finding it funny. Bunch of gayers now like.
