Football isnt diverse enough according to stormzy

Loads of whites in the team he’s just created 😂😂😂.

Which black player was good enough to get in that team at that point?

Or do we want to pick players just because they’re black and not particularly arsed if they’re good enough??
He’s like that Eni Aluko idiot whingeing about the Lionesses not being diverse enough as they became champions of Europe.

That's not discrimination. Discrimination would mean there would be 0% replies of anyone but white.

There's lots of other factors here, maybe white people are just better qualified? It's not the employers job to make people better qualified for the sake of diversity in higher positions.

No. There arent. You didnt read the study did you. Its the exact same cv but with different names. Thats the whole point. If youre going to argue with something actually read the damn study

I don’t know. It’s complicated and I have no direct experience. But I’m convinced there’s a problem to solve. So it’s good that people are trying to fix it.
There’s an issue of white underrepresentation in PL playing staff. But if someone tried to “fix it” I think I can hazard a guess at the response. “Diversity”

So 3200 applications were allegedly sent out to who knows what companies six years ago and we all have to believe there's still a problem now ? I'll stick with my own eyes and ears thanks not some knocked up Nuffield college project..
You haven’t been vaccinated have you? Because you know better?

The problem suggested by that study is that people aren’t being hired on merit.

If white footballers are underrepresented in Pl because of their ethnic background then we should fix that too. Is that what you think is happening?

Nope. It's definitely discrimination from certain( not all) employers

What’s this team meant to represent ? I’ve just counted and there are at least 19 black players in the current England set up . Football in this country is as diverse as it could possibly be .
At management/boardroom level it isn't. I think that's the point of what stormzy is saying

As of 2011 approx 3% of the population were black, 4% Asian etc.

So naturally, to be equally represented those are the levels to aspire to in equality.

To expect any higher than that would be equally racist against whites or am I missing something?

It will be eventually, it just takes time for the black footballers to move through the system . With the amount of black players we have now it seems unlikely that we won’t have many more black coaches and managers in the future.
As for diversity in the boardroom . We have Arabs , Malaysians , Chinese , Russians etc . It’s a fairly diverse bunch .
