Football isnt diverse enough according to stormzy

John arntz is the name and Google will bring up a lot of news articles.
Ok, so it turns out that is not really as you described. For a start he hasn't been sacked, he is a contractor rather than an employee and his fixed term contract has run out. They've invited him to reapply for it along with other candidates they'll consider.

And it's in America, so what that has to do with diversity in British football is beyond me

He's been there 20 years. But now theyve decided the position needs to be open to a more diverse setting, so now his 20 years service to that company are no longer needed. He's been invited to re apply, we all know he won't be considered.

It's got everything to do with diversity, the topic of this thread ultimately boils down to diversity, regardless of occupation.

If this was the other way around, there'd be an absolute uproar.

Tbf George Floyd has nothing to do with British football but he has had a big influence

Ok mate.

It's just quite telling that the story can't stand on it's own, it had to be embellished...

Posting without reading every post.

One of my granddaughters is black, the other white...same genetic line. Should one get job preference?

If we employ by skin colour, then why not have gingers in the top jobs.

OK bud..

Other way round in the same situation the whole thing explodes.
But it wouldn't really be a comparable situation as the issue of underrepresentation wouldn't exist, so not only would it not happen, if it did you could understand a different response couldn't you?

Anyway, we're now talking about a completely unrelated thing in a different country that the Daily Mail lied about to get people hot under the collar, so probably best just to move on.

The under representation does occur in playing squads with 40% being black despite being only 5% of population.

This means whites are under represented as players if you use same logic/ arguments.
