If anyone out there coaches youth (or adult) football and is struggling for drills to do Man City have put a load of their stuff on video and you can access it free online here

Fair play to City for doing this, it's a useful resource for free.

Anyone know how I can start my coaching stuff, dont know where to start

Look on the county FA website, it will have a list of Level 1 course dates and you can apply online.

If you are attached to a Standard Charter club you will get it cheaper, but you don't have to be coaching already to do it.

Local leisure centres often run courses. If you live anywhere near a University, they do them all the time.

I need the opposite though. I wish someone would do football coaching for adults who just play for fun (i.e. not a team where you have to dedicate half your life to it). In 5 years at senior school, all that was drummed into me was one or two touch football. Trap it, pass it. Always kick with the side of your foot, never the top or front. Awful way to teach, none of this love the ball at your feet stuff, just panic panic panic. I've got better as the years have gone on, but would love to have a couple of days of decent coaching.

Look on Durham FA website for courses, or pop down and see them, there next to Chester le st (Durham) cricket ground and theres usually someone there to give advice. Did my level 1 this year as i run an under 10 team. Enjoyable course and essential really if your going to work with kids.
