Food Discount Cards?

I fess up to being a greedy scratter. Following on from the Miller + Carter thread, what are the best cards/vouchers to get discounts?

I've looked at that Taste card thingy bit it doesn't seem to appeal as it features places that I probably wouldn't frequent that much.

If you search on tastecard there are only 7 places in Sunderland you can use it.

Gourmet society is shite for Sunderland also. In other places I have also found that when you ring up to book the restaurant says the don’t take it.

Edit: if you are happy to eat in chain places it’s usually dead easy to get a voucher by googling eg Frankie and Bennys discount voucher. The good independent places don’t need to do discounts

Often, restaurant chains send you vouchers if you are a shareholder. The Restaurant Group is one that I know of.

Obviously, not that good for high end independents but, generic chain stuff....
