Fletcher

He should have done better. But I think too many people on here have their heads in the clouds. He's a proven strike at this level and we have to give him some leeway.
Which makes his decision making even more ridiculous. He even fucked up on his so called stronger foot. It's inexcusable.

So fuck. He had plenty of time and space. He bottled using his weaker foot then fucked up on his strong foot. It was absolutely pathetic.
Porterfield, a midfielder scored with his weak foot, in cricket parlance - if you're gonna flash, flash hard - Fletch did fuck all.

He fucked up using his stronger foot too. That's no defence.

What else do you call not using your right foot when you can shoot or square it to team mates?

Making the wrong decision in a split second. Nobody is infallible. But to question a players bottle when you've probably never had to do a single thing in your life that compares to the pressure of performing in front of 40,000 people every week is bullshit.

Split second? He had plenty of time. He showed a complete lack of composure and wasted a great chance.

As for your second point. That has no relevance at all. He is paid to score goals and perform at the highest level.[DOUBLEPOST=1393779195][/DOUBLEPOST]
I thought he put it about well when he came on. But there was no excuse for not taking that right foot volley on - either score or kill the goalie.
He did play quite well. When it came down to what should be his strongest attribute he fluffed his lines though.

Plenty of time on what planet? The reality is he had a second or 2 at most, hardly an age to weigh up all your options.

The second point has plenty of relevance. You don't get to the top of the game by "bottling" it. These players have had to fight to the top for years. It's a poor excuse to criticise every time a player makes a mistake. It has nothing to do with bottle.

Thought he did well when he came on tbf, but in general I'm just not a fan and if the option to recoup some £ came along, I'd move him on and sign Borini or a Borini'esque player.

In that case, it makes it even worse. Hit it when it comes to you.

It was more than a mistake. He clearly shyed away from using his weaker foot when it was far easier to have a go at it. That is bottling it.

You're a miserable twat at the best of times, but if you can't actually be proud of the teams performance today without being bitter and critical then I pity you.

What are you going on about? I'm proud as punch of the lads. For you to question that is ridiculous.

I thought he done well when he came on. He should have done better with the 2nd chance, after hitting the target with his 1st, but ffs he's never played for weeks and carrying an injury. Thoughs looking for a scapegoat, fuck off man, we were beaten by one of the best teams in Europe .

You wanted him to make a split second decision - he did - to change to his other foot. It then bounced and popped off him out of play. It may have been the wrong decision but at least he had the opportunity to make it. All I hope is we play with that passion in the upcoming league games and we will be fine.
