The club website only lists fixtures up to 13 May, so the Chelsea game mentioned above and one other aren't on it. I was quite happy...

OK, away at Man City is going to be difficult to get anything from, but home against a newly promoted side for the second game, local rivals or not, should be a great chance to get a win on the board. If we can't get points from the opening five games we deserve to be in line for another season battling relegation. It's up to the club to improve, not the fixture compilers. I'm sure Sam knows this.

Had they announced before this that there'd be only one game around Christmas, btw?
Aye we showed how easy games against newly promoted sides are this season ;)

Fuck me, people on here cry over nowt. We have to play them all anyway. 3 of the first 5 are teams with a new manager. One is our local rival who is at home. I would reckon that we have a more stable chance of winning some of those games. The only one I am concerned about is Spurs.
Aye but you want a good start.

Not a bad start for us IMO, some winnable home games. Playing Man City early on might not be the worst thing in the world either, will take time for Guardiola to get them playing like he wants, plus they have loads of players away at the Euros/Copa.

Also, if it comes down to it again (hopefully not)...I like the look of Bournemouth, Hull & Swansea in 3 of our last 4 games.

Why the concern over these fixtures, bar the fact the big days (Opening, end, boxing day, NYD) are away which is annoying for travelling fans I don't think it looks too bad. We have quite a good record away to big sides on opening day. We then play a shit Boro side for our first 3pts then couple of tough away games (aren't they all?) with a game against Everton who we currently own.

September sees us into the top half where we will stay until we drop into the bottom half over Christmas and New Year but look set for a Semi Final place in the league cup. We then win 4 from 6 against Stoke, West Brom, Palace and Saints at home to propel us into the top 8 and a league cup final showdown with Man Utd. Despite Utd taking the lead, Ibrahimovic is sent off for talking in the third person too many times and we win 2-1.

With a cup win under our belt we inevitably slow down in the league falling to 13th place in April but a strong finish with 3 wins out of the last 4 sees us in a comfortable 9th place and an epic Steve Bruce meltdown when we send them down and beat his 10th place finish record.

3rd season in a row we start away from home too?

The premier league really are sick of us mind

Let's just beat Man C and be done with it, welcome Pep to the prem with a surprisingly comfortable 2-0 win to piss off the prem bosses!

Haway!

I'm thinking 28 points ish by the winter window . That's without daft wins at man city etc. Dependant on Sam putting a progressive team together like .
