There are three certainties in life.

Taxes, death, and England throwing away a good position with f***ing village standard batting and a collapse more seismic than the cluster fuck the government are making of Brexshit.

Looks a good cricketer him. How's he against spin? Could be important this winter.
Difficult to judge a young player against spin due to the ECB f***ing up the Championship as always, but haven't noticed anything amiss .

That looks out

And clearly was with three reds. How gaffney gave not out is beyond me

The fudging of the bairstow and Butler issue is absurd really. Take the gloves off Bairstow , bat him 5 and tell him that that’s is role for the forseeable. It’s been clear for god knows how long that we couldn’t afford to waste him at 7 given our batting has been pitiful.
I don’t get the Curran selection either. Too small and farts it out. Don’t see a test match career in him as a frontline bowler.

Harsh on the lad, he's insanely young and at his age it's easier to put on the 5mph he needs than it is to become a natural swinger...

He's nowhere near ready yet mind, and his selection is utterly baffling.

How many balls with Broad last? I’ll go for 7.

I'll take 9.

Could have batted them out of it. And if Anderson and Broad don't fire we'll struggle massively

You could have written that about any test in the last five years. The batting has never, not once, been good enough.

Someone needs to call it as it is. Disgraceful behaviour. All because of that little celebration at Headingley FFS? Get a grip you self entitled little ****

Someone on the BBC this week called him cricket's Ronaldo and it's about right...

Think it'll depend who's knocking down the door to take his place.

Livingston? Foakes? Burns down the order ?

Worcestershire's Clarke is with the squad this week. Between him and Pope for me.
