First FA cup final memory

1985. I was at Middleton Camp with St Cuthbert's and the Teacher taped it for us to watch when we'd got back from whichever outdoor activity we were doing. Being 9 we all picked Man Utd or Everton to support for it. Whiteside's goal was outstanding.

Spurs v Leicester (2 - 0) 1961
Danny Blanchflower's Spurs were the top dogs at the time. We drew with them at Roker Park in the 6th round 1 - 1 and they thrashed us in the replay 5 - 0 . I bet a few on here have memories of that.
"Pass the hot milk Danny.
Great player

I remember my older brothers going on about the Chelsea/Leeds final in 1970, but didn't know much about what was going on.
First one I watched on TV was 1971 Arsenal v Liverpool

Liverpool Everton 86 I remember it besing on tele while I was being a little shit at a wedding reception.
Coventry 87 was first one I watched properly though. Went straight in back garden trying to reenact Houchens diving header!

1976 Stokes winner for Southampton.

Always used to have a first goal scorer draw FA cup final - if nil nil the 2 people who had the goalies sharing the prize.

1 year later for me.
1962
Spuds 3 Burnley 1
We listened to it on the radio in the back yard with the window open.

1967 spurs Chelsea .
That's my 1st memory of cup finals as well.

This one I think. In the week leading up to the game at every break time in the schoolyard we would split into two large groups and one group would sing for Everton and the other would sing for Albion.
I haven't watched today's game
We did that in my school but we played the match. Being in Brum there were about 20 in the Albion side and about half for Everton. I remember I "was" Ray Wilson. Thought about this the other day when he died.

Yep same here, both went to extra-time as well I think.

Aye, when David Webb scored the winner! Those were the days when the cup final was an occasion to look forward to

Spurs v Leicester was mine.
Much more enjoyable in them days as probably only game televised
Was a really big occasion

The cup final in those days was a really big occasion! The game build up was great then, I remember a couple of It's a Knockouts between the fans.

1973, must have been the first time I actually watched a full match. Played football with the other lads in the street afterwards. Brilliant day.
