All too familiar with Root this. It’s preventing him from being a proper great of the English game

Unlucky Root. Need to keep Denly at the crease for the rest of the day and see Burns get his century.

It wasn’t unlucky. It was a semi-committed shot. The type that gets him in bother nearly every time he’s settled at the crease

Looks like batting second and last was the right to do for the Aussies, given what the pitch is doing for Lyon. This all hinges on whether England can build a decent lead in this innings

He played a good innings. Changed his game to make sure we had a base to build on. Shame he didnt go on but it was an excellent catch that on another day goes down.

The Aussies batted first.

He is an under rated bowler but he has been poor today thus far.

Not unlucky at all. He was too early through his shot. It was a very good reaction snaffle from Siddle but it was preventable.

I'm not on about how he got out. It's unlucky he's gone as it was a decent partnership that was building. Yes the shot selection should have been better.
