Mental man, now I dont necessarily think he is cut out to open in test cricket but christ... no more chancesAbsolutely unreal this place
Who would you have opened with out of curiosity?
Mental man, now I dont necessarily think he is cut out to open in test cricket but christ... no more chances![]()
Should Aus drop Warner then? Nicked off behind (wasn't given) and 2 very close LBW's? Get the fucker out the side... shite.he could have been out 3 times in 6 overs man
wont happen but root.....id rather play an in form ballance, or vince whos failed before but is more solid
My opinion exactlyMental man, now I dont necessarily think he is cut out to open in test cricket but christ... no more chances![]()
one of which was missing....warner is a proven test player, poor comparisonShould Aus drop Warner then? Nicked off behind (wasn't given) and 2 very close LBW's? Get the fucker out the side... shite.
I would be tempted to give Sibley a shot but obviously a total gamble of how he would perform at test level and then move Roy down to 4.My opinion exactly
I’d probably go with Denly at the top.
no opener should be continuously poking at ballsThere's no doubt Roy is quality but not as an opener in a test. Not yet anyway. If he learnt to sit tight and not poke at balls he'd be a solid opener. He just can't help himself though. You can see it on his face when he's nearly been done. He looks like he's thinking I'll smash you next ball.
How can Roy prove himself if you want him dropping after 1 innings? 2 of Roy's didnt go to fielders so how is that any different to a very close LBW shout?one of which was missing....warner is a proven test player, poor comparison
I would if the other slot was solid. Not sure that it’s not too big a gamble in the AshesI would be tempted to give Sibley a shot but obviously a total gamble of how he would perform at test level and then move Roy down to 4.
just dont blood him in the ashes theres plenty more chancesHow can Roy prove himself if you want him dropping after 1 innings? 2 of Roy's didnt go to fielders so how is that any different to a very close LBW shout?
Hildreth would be my shout. Watches the ball brilliantly. His age goes against him though as it'd only be a short term fix.
Who would you open with then? That's the fundamental issue, the total lack of options.just dont blood him in the ashes theres plenty more chances
id even try an out of form moeen, he didnt do a bad job as openerGood player but opening? Again no suggestion is a daft one given that we have struggled to find a solution. I'm probably for Burns and Vince at the moment. Fully aware of Vince's flaws but still think he is capable of some decent scores which other arent. I think they are looking at Zak Crawley but think its too early for him.
might sharpen his mindid even try an out of form moeen, he didnt do a bad job as opener
malan?Who would you open with then? That's the fundamental issue, the total lack of options.
