I toyed with buying a cheap adapter but bought the official Amazon one in the end. It works fine.
Watched a video on this. Firestick does 100mb/s max on ethernet and much higher on WiFi.
I only have 60mb/s broadband so mine is ethernet via a cable off eBay. Put LAN cable in one end and the micro usb into the connector. The USB can then run off a smart TV port for power or a dedicated power supply..very easy.
