Mines an older fire stick but I just paired mine with a Bluetooth mouse. Works a treat.

I’ve tried that one. When I double click the play button to launch it within an app, the cursor doesn’t appear.

Try a single click, I think that is what worked on mine.

Which app?

Press the play button twice with half a second in between. Then use the hat keys to move around on screen, should see the circle appear.

If you haven't already done so, go into settings on the stick, then developer options and switch off, then switch back on BOTH ADB debugging and apps from unknown sources .

I've set up umpteen fire sticks and have always had to do the above to get the mouse to work.
