Final points tally

We didn’t turn up at Bournemouth or Leeds really. We were battered at Leeds and basically snuck a win. Bournemouth we played ok for 20 mins and then played shite for 70. We could of course repeat that against the mags and get a lucky result but nothing about those games suggests a toe to toe game taking them on.
Tbf if it’s not toe to toe ànd we win I would be delighted too

Much will depend on injuries , get lucky we'll get a couple more points , get even more unlucky and I'd take your arm off for those 3 points .

This. Except I have us drawing away at Wolves and losing to Spurs at home.

Yep - just what I'd got, can't see another win coming and think we'll carry that form in to next season and that's us fooked.

What do I base that total lack of optimism on? Well being a supporter for 34 years and being stunned by yet another false dawn and the fact that I feel dirty for once again, daring to believe and being duped.

The up side though is that if I'm totally wrong, then happy days!
Not even going to put me tin hat on.....
Can see 3 points visiting the Visitors, and a few more points elsewhere.
Well I don't - I'll be having a full TV and Radio black out and might go hide in a cave or not get out of bed for the day.

Mind, the last time I felt like that I was in the toon in a cafe prior to the match and heard the Team Selection and called my Mag mate to admit defeat...this was the match where Shearer missed the penalty and I was there, so who knows...stranger things have happened...

That’s a major drop off in form given since beginning of January, where our form hasn’t been great, we’re still averaging just under a point per game. You’d hope after the 3 week rest and players returning from injury would could at least replicate that and have us finishing on 47-49 points

Suppose you were totally wrong about this season if you're always that pessimistic.

Here you go.

Brighton - 1

That's 9 points to get to final tally 46.

Bonus Prediction
Mags final tally 45.

BUMP (update on my prediction for the final points tally)

Got the 3 points from the Visitors as predicted.
And doing 2 points better than I predicted at this stage (we beat Leeds and lost to Brighton).
I think we will get to 47 points.
