Wasn’t Peter Jackson looking at doing a remake of the Dambusters? I’m sure I’ve read that one of the big issues was the code word that was used when a dam was breached
Most films couldn't be remade in anything like the same set up due to the sheer amount of complaints from the pc brigade.
I thank my lucky stars I got to see all the stuff that looks tacky by today's standards in terms of technology but fantastic in terms of raw acting.
How could you ever recreate Frankenstein without a good old black and white set up with the most basic of special effects of the time?
I laugh at seeing it all now, just as I did with Jaws. But what classics and how scary were they for a young kid of the time?
