Film villains you feel for?

Jaws from James Bond - hidden away, forced to do his master's bidding because he's a man mountain, metal mouthed circus freak who just wants to be loved FFS.
This. Jaws obviously a bit retarded, taken advantage of, and then the poor sod gets the world's best secret agent smashing a lamp into his chomps. Almost shed a tear for him when that happened.

Central Defender
Col. Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds

He was only following orders.
There’s a brilliant theory that he was self protective because he knew he was gay and was acting in his best interests to evade detection.

Full Back
Matthias, Son of Deuteronomy of Gath - a criminal stoned to death in Life of Brian. He'd just had a lovely supper, and all he said to his wife was, 'That piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah'.

Also, The Romans are portrayed as villains in the same movie. But remember what Jerusalem used to be like before sanitation?

Thanos. Just wants to wipe out half the universe so he gan shopping or out for a meal and it be nice and quiet. I felt that.
If he did it now, rather than a 50/50 random draw he could have wiped out all the panic buyers. I reckon the avengers would have said aye mate crack on

Son of Stan

Frankenstein's monster, poor sod.
Roy Batty in Blade Runner. And of course, Hans Gruber in Die Hard - I'd much rather see Bruce Willis go flying out the window tbh.
