We look really shakey with Anton in the team tonight, im hoping Titus aint gonna need surgury or hopefully Jonny Mensah can get back to fill in for titus cause Antons defending is worrying

I actually thought he looked better the longer the game went on, for someone who's not played alot of football this season and has been injured himself I dont think he did too much wrong.

You could be right, but since his lact act of the game was to let Beckford through on goal, that's hardly a glowing report.

If Mensah still isn't fit, then we would have to change 3 positions to change things - Onuoha to CB, Bardsley to RB, Richardson to LB.

Do we want to make that many changes?

Should be absolutely nowhere near a centre half place. I'm not kidding, I'd rather pick someone out of the crowd. Everyone around him was shitting themselves.

We have to, or we're back to the bad old days.

Maybe if he got a few games under his belt at CH he may look more assured, when he is asked to play its here there and everywhere really. Never has a settled position, bound to be rusty

Anton dod not inspire confidence but he does need more matches.

I think more rusty than poor TBH.

With Titus out for a while, looks like he may get the games but can only hope he settles. Can be great on his day like.

Anton isnt very good. I'm amazed at how many people rate the lad I think its down to the fact that he is quite comfortable on the ball - he just doesnt defend situations very well.

He was dreadful tonight like. Really, just shocking. Thought Turner was superb to make up for him.

Thing is, that 'switch-around' can work.

Bardsley has been superb lately, stick him at right back so he doesn't have to cut inside every time
Kieran is a good full back (I don't really rate him as a midfielder), who provides width on the left
Onouha has done canny at right-back, but he's a centre-back by trade and (despite a shocker against WHU) has generally always done very well there. Man City fans loved him there.

its...because...he...is...slow...in...the...minduuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

honestly hes about 2 seconds behind everyone else, useless

His positional sense tonight was awful and that should not be affected by lack of match practice. He's been a professional footballer for over ten years now, he should not be making basic mistakes. If it was a poor touch or lack of pace that was letting him down that could be better excused with a lack of games.

agreed, needs a run of games in the same position

playing against one of the better premiership teams should not be taken into consideration at all though.......

Da Silva ?
A steady experienced head that could play alongside Turner.

Ferdinand looked petrified for the first 20 minutes. His first touch totally deserted him (nerves) and put him squarely on the back foot.

Picked up a bit, but was really really poor. Actually a little suprised he didn't come off at half time.

Turner did a lot of covering for him.

Seemed to me that it was Anton who was doing all the clearances especially in the second half when we were under the cosh. I thought he had a cracking game.

Unfortunately he's the scapegoat for many on here.

Is this a wind up?

He was terrible! He has a concentration span of about 3 seconds, his positional sense is woeful & he thinks he is better than he actually is! Did you not see him run under the ball when Turner cleared Cahills chp off the line? Did you not see his awful attempt of a clearance in the last minute to let Beckford in? And IMO he was at fault for their 1st goal, he should of been picking Cahill up. Should never play for us again at CH, he scares me to death!

Think we either have to try Onuoha there or give Da Silva a run?

Let me add to that, that Mensah should play ahead of him with one arm!!!!
