"Feed the Scousers" chant at Goodison

Cockney away fans chanting "Feed The Scousers" at the game yesterday, got themselves a wee bit of a "karma butty" "two-NIL to the Everton!!"
Hey! OUR lot are certainly no "angels", but chanting about poverty (in my humble opinion) doesn't equal= "banter". Those supporters and their club richly deserve each other!
And a lot of them are probably living in houses they can barely afford since mortgage interest rates are rising through the roof down here in London, dozey fuckers the lot of them! Although a fair few are maybe still living off mum & dad!

It’s been sang at the SOL numerous times at liverpool and Everton fans. I’ve also heard it sang at us with Mackems in place of scousers

I recall in the 1970's when we played Blackpool ..
If you've seen the Blackpool Tower wipe your arse
(Aye aye Yippy Yippy aye tune)
Also when playing WBA, us singing I do like to be beside the seaside with last line being
Where the brass band played f--- off West Brom!
Are they ok?

It is an awful chant but it's no better than the sign on song that's sung to Liverpool.

Having said that most away fans now sing somewhere is a shithole etc and it's just a song at the football if you meet any fans in the pub they're usually decent folk and I wouldn't take any football chants personally.

We used to sing about the Liverpool slums back when In the day, no idea if we still do. I dont think it was said with any malice and to be fair what folk got upto outside the ground, more often at Liverpool and Everton was far worse.

I know that at my age, I tend to ramble on about the old days, but honestly? Just when did it get so NASTY and cruel? I've had some wonderful days (if not always wonderful results!) following my club up and down the land, had some "dodgy" moments, but overall can't say I ever felt compelled to shout such shit at opponents!
I guess, my point is, "does abusing the shit out of the opposition help the side play better"?

Hmmmmmmmm? perhaps I'll leave that question open??
Some of the idiots just go to "rant" abuse at supporters and players, taking throw in etc. I don't think they actually watch the game.

As to just when , the answer is a very long time ago . The " in their Liverpool slums " chant must be nearly 50 years old . Not advocating it like , just saying .

Plenty bellends in our support will have sung it. As a point of reference, it will be those who sing the ‘my garden shed song’
