Has anyone seen this?

It's about the obesity epidemic (focusing on USA), and specifically what role diet and sugar play in this - and how sugar and fast food corporations would like you to believe that you can just exercise it all away, while continuing to eat their processed junk.

Saying you can run/swim or whatever for 1/2 hrs a day, and at best it's gonna knock off a bite of a Mars bar, half a can of coke etc. Not to say exercise is useless of course, but just putting into perspective against what we're putting in our bodies.

And the con is how they can manipulate an item of food...calories can be reduced, but sugar levels stay exactly the same. Makes the point that not all calories are the same - 160 calories worth of almonds are gonna digest and release sugar slowly (due to fibre), whereas 160 calories worth of coke is gonna go straight through the liver and turn directly to fat.

Really interesting and maybe a good motivator for people looking at their diet.

Found it online -

I felt a bit sorry for the fat kid who did loads of swimming but was still eating 10 big macs a day at school.

Have a read of the sugar conspiracy, I also recommend Cowspiracy

Yeah the kids were the saddest part, between their parents and the school cafeteria, they didnt stand much chance.

Just read the sugar conspiracy, really interesting. It's such a nuanced argument it's hard to present it to general public imo.
