Favourite cheesecake topping.



I trained as a chef in the navy 29 yrs ago.
All service chefs were trained at the same barracks in aldershot then. It was mainly an army base (st omer barracks) and the kitchen was manned by army chefs. They used to make an absolutely amazing cheesecake with a strawberry compote topping, one that ive never tasted one as good since. I would literally pay a fortune for one slice of these cheesecakes

Now there’s a question there is no real answer to for me, the only disappointment I’d have is if the cheesecake of the day was orange as I can’t have it.

I don’t care for gooseberries or rhubarb but I’d probably eat them on a cheesecake, I’d even eat a smoked Salmon one.
