Favourite Auf Wiedersehen Pet moments?

Currently on my first rewatch for a few years. Up to last episode of series one. Best episode of that series is The Lovers imo, dont like watching The Alien. Dont think it's a bad episode mind, just all the conflict puts me off it. Everybody walking about miserable. As much as series one will always be the iconic one series two is better imo. Ally Fraser and Kenny Ames are superb additions to the cast. Bill Patterson was a cut above the rest acting wise at the time and it showed. One of the great screen baddies

That's my favourite actually The Alien I actually like magowan

Wasnt Oz one of the 7? ;)
Oi, are you suggestng all 7 had Vicki?? She wasn't that much of a slut!!
Hilarious TB....embarrassingly, I actually clicked on that pic expecting (not hoping) to expand the image :oops::oops:
Please don't say I need to get out more, I'm in quarantine😭😭. Tell Daffy I have better pictures of Vicki if he's interested.

Good evening all AWP fans, especially @thamesvalleyman @Kevin Arnott's right boot @Spam Javelin and @hank williams As it's the anniversary of Gary Holton's departure, I have a little tribute. TVM reminded me and I know he was planning a quiz or something, but it's late in Manila and he's probably asleep now so I hope he doesn't mind me saying my bit.
RIP Wayne Winston Norris
When I started watching AWP in 1983, the "geordie" lads were my favourite characters, but having re-watched the series many times, Wayne has become my favourite.
He had some great scenes from the start, the pics below recall some of them.
The more I watch AWP, I see he was always trying to help the other lads when he could.
It's so sad we never saw Wayne in the indoor Spanish scenes and that he missed out on rattling Vicki.
RIP Gary Holton.
Gary Holton was multi-talented. According to Wikipedia he was offered the role of "Nick Cotton" (EastEnders) but he turned it down and recommended his mate Jon Altman.
He also appeared in S5E3 of Minder (as Barry!!). Coincidentally, Ray Winstone/Colin and Sue Elliott/Marjorie are also in that episode (as is Marlene from OFAH).
He sang with the “Heavy Metal Kids” and with Casino Steel, several examples of his music feature earlier on this thread.
In 1985 the press picked on him over his private life and his reputation. His mental health deteriorated and sadly it is reckoned that he died of a heroin overdose.
So Gary never aged either and remains youthful in our minds, unlike the rest of the ageing surviving cast members.

Thanks @gluepot , nice tribute and pictures. I got caught up in a few things earlier so will put the Wayne quiz on tomorrow.

RIP Wayne.

Looking forward to that mate.
@gluepot , that’s a superb post mate.
FWIW I thought the casting of Holton of Wayne was a stroke of genius.
He played the character to a tee, even with the little nuances like the little bounce of the knees. Absolutely brilliant.
Sadly taken way too early.

Read on a Facebook page he'd been suspended from the show at one point

Probably due to his extra carricular activities

Just watching Wayne trying to cheer up Oz when he was down about the lads going fishing, and later Barry about his beard

Two quick questions......
When Wayne was telling Oz about the lass at the post office, what word did he use to describe what happened by 10 o'clock?
When Barry first asked Wayne what he thought of his beard, what did Wayne reply?

Wayne says wallop
Wayne laughs at Barry's beard
