Fat Sam

He was already on his way out before Iceland. We were the only club bar Stoke not to sign a player and he'd made it clear enough times that he'd be off if he wasn't backed in the market. He'd have probably started the season but wouldn't have stayed til the end imo.

Doubt he'd have walked without having something lined up. He always airs his views and gets his excuses in through the press though and hed started doing it here, mostly through Louise Taylor iirc. Wed have probably had a shit season but probably not been relegated and the he'd have left.

He was clearly unhappy during pre-season, was obvious he wasnt getting backed and he was pissed off about it.

The right time for us to get him was when we got Sbragia, Short still had an interest and was willing to put money in and he would have established us in the top 10 with the odd season of pushing for Europe.

Short would have established us as a top 10 team minimum if he had got the right people in to spend his money.
