Fans storming out

I left on 85 mins, it was 1-4, it was absolutely freezing and I wanted to get home before midnight.

when everyone leaves at the same time it can take an eternity to get away. Great thinking by the fans leaving in two droves imo.

Couldn't blame people tonight like. Absolutely freezing, game was over and was never going to be anymore goals.

It doesn't, sorry. I love SAFC fans but we have to be one of, if not the worst for leaving early. I hhave been to pretty much every ground in top two divisions and plenty lower.

Anyone denying this is blinded by SAFC love.

Agree with this. There's only Arsenal which I can think of who are similar.

Mind you, I think many stadiums would have been empty when 4-1 at home down to City. Old Trafford emptied quickly last season when City scored their third.

It does look bad when so many people leave early but last night was absolutely freezing, there was no way back into the game for us and we didn't look like really trying to get even a consolation goal so I have sympathy for those that left.

We might be the worst club for people leaving early (Usually only a couple of minutes it's worth pointing out) but of all the clubs in the PL how many of them have the number of supporters we still have in the stadium at the final whistle?

I'm typing this as im walking back to my car, I hope that offends you.

Pathetic bunch tonight, embarrassed to be a Sunderland fan because of your type. At least stay and enjoy the footy on display. It's man city, the premier league champions at home. What do fans expect? No one can claim our fans are great after tonight. Totally Humiliated and gives the mags more ammo

I think the main point was there wasn't much on display at this point.

Liverpool, arsenal, city, united, Chelsea, mags, spurs, that's off the too of my head. Our bunch always sneak out early, winds me up like fuck. Some of Our fans are shocking

I'm talking about man city's football. Appreciate watching some of the best players on the planet. How often do you get to see aguero etc play in your home town. He was a joy to watch tonight, simply too good for us to handle. We needed to play city on an off day to hae a chance, unfortunately they were on fire. Some supporters need to get a reality check. We are perennial relegation battlers, so don't fuck off when the going gets tough, stay and support the lads. Cowardly spineless bunch

I know you meant Man City but I think they had even slipped into Neutral to be honest. I stayed to the end and it was pretty boring for the last 20 minutes.

Cold, pissed off, cold, been at work since 6 then straight to match, cold, utter ***** behind me ruining any enjoyment, cold, long drive home, cold, back up for work, cold, left in a calm, unhurried manner about 5 mins after their 4th.

Soz, judgemental arsehole, I'll consider your feelings in the future...

Turned my laptop off after the fourth. Absolutely disgusted.

People pay their money and are entitled to vent their spleen by leaving early but it undoubtedly shows some of our fans are not the loyal staunch supporters they claim to be.

Think another reason our fans leave early is that 9 out of 10 times if we are losing after the 75th min the team very rarely show any kind of fight and we never expect to do anything.

If the players dont turn up for 90 minutes why should the fans?

Even when we're winning people leave early.....remember when Roy Keane was manager we regularly used to score in the last 5mins and I remember those walking out cursing missing the goal or running back in. I regularly saw this as I sit near to the aisle

Mods - any chance we can have a sub forum called something like Slag the fans off here
I never leave early - but you know what if someone wants to it's entirely up to them - don't generally get it myself ( although can particularly understand why so many did last night) why someone wouldn't want to see the end of something they pay to watch and enjoy, but you know what if they want to - let them - why do we have to several threads after every match slagging off our fans - if it's not leaving early it's chucking beer around in the concourse, or standing up and singing for the whole of the game, or sitting down and not singing for the whole of the game or so on and so on - how we choose to watch and support the Lads is our own personal choice. Do what you want to do - if you want to stay until the end, stay.
